Marketing Manager
TraceLink, an early-stage, venture-backed startup company with strong financial backing, is revolutionizing how companies think about manufacturing and supply chain operations and our Marketing team is seeking an experienced marketing leader to help us realize this vision.
We seek an individual with a passion for building a lead pipeline by developing and executing marketing programs that drive broad awareness, deep understanding and strong interest in our revolutionary supply network solutions. Creating a deep database of target prospects and a strong calendar of prospect-to-sales lead conversion programs is instrumental to our success and we need your creativity, insight and passion to make this happen.
As Marketing Manager, you will face many questions. How can I efficiently grow the prospect database in our target markets? How should we segment our prospects for maximum effect? What kind of email campaigns, web events and offers will seize our prospects’ interest? What subject lines, formats, content and web landing pages provide the best conversion rates? How should we enhance our integrated marketing automation infrastructure to optimize program execution and pipeline visibility? Finding the answers is your responsibility as you design and build impactful and measurable marketing programs.
Specific Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Marketing Programs
- Build a marketing programs calendar and execute marketing campaigns based on sales needs, identified market opportunities and network growth potential
- Create clear messages and valuable content for our target audiences based on a strong working knowledge of TraceLink’s products, capabilities and value propositions
- Propose and lead content development projects such as webinars, videos, blogs and web content
Email Marketing
- Create an email calendar and design specific email campaigns that drive new handraisers and convert existing ones into engaged sales prospects
- Execute all aspects of email campaigns including design, content development, tracking methodologies and delivery
- Work with the website team to suggest and create landing pages tailored to email campaigns
- Develop and test subject lines, content, layout, segmentation and landing pages to optimize performance
- Analyze and report on marketing KPIs such as open, response, conversion and unsubscribe rates
- Achieve monthly / yearly goals in pipeline development of interested handraisers and qualified leads
Database Development
- Develop, grow and maintain an extensive prospect database that is well-documented and well-segmented for use across sales, marketing and network programs
- Use online search, Jigsaw, LinkedIn, ZoomInfo and other tools to quickly identify and acquire new prospects
- Develop programs to optimize prospect database, minimizing bounce and improving targeting abilities
- Tag newly acquired prospects for database storage based on market target and segmentation criteria
- Achieve monthly/yearly goals in pipeline development of target prospects
The ideal candidate will have:
- Demonstrated experience creating and executing B2B marketing programs, preferable in a technology segment
- BA/BS degree, MBA preferred
- Experience in B2B email marketing, particularly in enterprise / network software and services a plus
- Strong knowledge of email marketing best practices that drive response rates and conversion
- Proven track record of direct marketing success that exceeded assigned quantitative/qualitative goals
- Strong desire for metrics-based analysis and decision-making
- Experience using Eloqua, Salesforce.com and other marketing solutions highly desirable
- Working knowledge of HTML and web development tools such as Dreamweaver beneficial
- Flexible, adaptable, organized and possessing strong oral / written communication skills
- Good professional judgment and high motivation in the challenging, dynamic startup environment
