Web API Engineer

TraceLink is seeking a full-time, experienced, Web API Engineer to join our team. If you’re self-motivated, intellectually curious, and motivated by designing and developing scalable distributed services and APIs for use by global organizations, you could be a good fit for our team.

Our multi-year journey to revolutionize the manufacturing and supply chain industries through cloud computing and social media is underway and we are looking for a key team member to help us recognize this vision.

As a Web API Engineer, you will be a key contributor on our Engineering team, responsible for the core services components and APIs for large scale, distributed, enterprise-class applications. This encompasses the architecture, design, and implementation of core services and their APIs, as well as all related activities within a service and API development process.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 5+ years software development experience
  • BS or equivalent required
  • Experience in software development in ideally Scala or either Java, Python, or Ruby
  • Experience in developing Web APIs
  • Experience in distributed systems and architecture
  • Experience in large-scale, distributed database systems a plus
  • Experience with Amazon AWS deployment and services a plus
  • Experience with software development best practices: Development methodologies, version control, defect tracking
  • Ability to communicate effectively and clearly, and collaborate with other disciplines
