Lawrence Lenihan is Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Resonance, a venture holding company that partners with talented creators to transform the fashion industry by combining venture investing experience, fashion industry insight and expertise, manufacturing knowledge and capability, and technology vision. Prior to Resonance, Lenihan founded FirstMark Capital, a New York City-based venture capital firm focused on early-stage technology companies, and that has backed some of today's most successful e-commerce companies, including Tommy John, Pinterest, and Shopify. Before FirstMark, he launched Pequot Ventures, in 1996. He started his career at IBM in the Retail Industry sales organization, and later started a product business within IBM providing interactive kiosks for retailers.
Lawrence holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Duke University and an M.B.A. from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.
