Please note that when you are provided with access to our platform by any of our customers for their business purposes, TraceLink will be the processor of the Personal Information you provide on the platform for that customer’s purposes. This means that we will only process such Personal Information on the instructions of that customer for their business purposes, and that customer will be responsible for your Personal Information. You should refer to that customer’s privacy policy to contact them or exercise your rights. Where you register for an individual TraceLink account on our website, we will also be the processor of any Personal Information you process on our platform through your account (other than the TraceLink Account Registration and Profile information discussed in the sections below), on behalf of your company (as represented by you) who are responsible for that Personal Information as controller. - We share your Personal Information if we are under a duty to do so, in order to comply with (or where we reasonably believe we are under a duty to comply with) any legal obligation; or in order to enforce any agreement we have in place with you; or to protect the rights, property, safety, or security of TraceLink, third parties, users of our services or the public.
- We may share your Personal Information with a prospective or new owner of our business or company and their advisors, should we, or any of the TraceLink group companies be the subject of a merger, takeover, divestment or acquisition.
- We share your Personal Information where you give us express permission to do so in the course of your relationship with us from time to time.
3. INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS
The TraceLink head office is based in the United States (US) and we use service providers in the US, which means Personal Information you provide to us will be processed and stored in the US. Please note that the US may have data protection laws less stringent than or otherwise different from the laws in effect in your country.
If you are located in the United Kingdom (UK) or European Economic Area (EEA), and we share your Personal Information to parties in the US or any other countries not recognized as adequate for the transfer of your Personal Information, to the extent a safeguard is required under law for such transfers of your Personal Information, we have put in place the UK government approved international data transfer agreement/addendum (for UK transfers) and Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the EU Commission (for EEA transfers). 4. PERSONAL INFORMATION RETENTION
We generally retain your Personal Information only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy.
