Hello everybody.
Why should manufacturers and suppliers be fully integrated and connected with one another?
There's three reasons that we've heard from our customers.
Reason number one: 10% to 20% of all purchase orders contain errors or go unconfirmed.
Reason number two: The on-time delivery from suppliers to manufacturers is 50% to 70%. Not enough.
Reason number three: Manufacturers often have to hold excess inventory because they're not sure when they're going to get their next shipment from their suppliers.
Why is this happening? It's because critical business information is being exchanged by email, phone, fax, and through spreadsheets.
This is not sustainable.
In my 10 years at a global manufacturer, every time I tried to connect to a supplier, it took six months and $100,000. Not practical.
But finally, there's a solution to this problem.
TraceLink has just launched a new dynamic solution called MINT that's going to allow manufacturers and suppliers to be fully integrated and connected with each other to tackle all these problems.
